Barbara

Barbara was born in mid-1930’s in Jesup, Georgia. As the eldest of ten children, she learned early on that true leadership is found in serving those walking behind you. That deep foundation of faith and responsibility carried her through a steadfast sixty-year marriage and the joyful, demanding years of raising a massive family. She was, above all else, a praying woman. Whether she was quietly lifting family, friends, and strangers in prayer, or serving meals in the church kitchen while the congregation fellowshipped, her life was a continuous outpouring of grace. But her greatest act of love came at the very end of her journey. As her health began to fail, she intentionally prepared her family for life without her. She called loved ones to her bedside, carefully imparting specific nuggets of wisdom she knew would guide and sustain them long after she was gone. This journal is an extension of that enduring legacy. Over the next 90 days, you will find daily thoughts inspired by her life, followed by space for your own reflections. May her quiet strength, her unshakeable faith, and her bedside wisdom serve as a compass for your own journey.
